Default Laid up for awhile

I tore my right rotator cuff at work back in december, and just had surgery on 5-2. The doc found a tear in bicep muscle and fixed it too. Thank God for good painkillers and a good wife looking after me.

Sounds like you have a few very important resources to get well soon. Good on you. Wishing you a stronger day tomorrow. Hang in there.

Any planned Bubba fixes get a reprieve, for now.

I just found out I have a Bankart tear in my right shoulder labrum, for the 2nd time. Surgery next month, laid up until December. Gives me plenty of time to make my wish list and prioritize my mod.

Heal well man.

i've had both your injuries. the main thing is to not rush it and do all the physical therapy required. a wife taking care of you definitely helps. nothing more precious than moral support. get well soon.

Hope you feel better. If it is the arm of your dominant hand, you will suddenly realize how much you really depend on that arm.

Operating a knife and fork becomes a head scratcher, and the fine art of wiping also can be a bit of a challenge.

Be patient and give all things time...you'll be ok.

This will be the 3rd shoulder rebuild for me, 2nd on my right shoulder, and for the same injury. I guess 21 years of fire fighting plus 15 years and counting of karate and MMA training has taken it's toll a bit. My wife says I'm not 25 anymore.......

Yes, it is my dominant hand, and yes somethings get a bit dicey.

Good news on my front is, my surgeon is very aggressive. I'm only in a sling for 4 days and start PT on day 4. We are taking the same approach as last time.

The top of my sleeve tattoo around my shoulder is now going to be the nuts bolts and screws that hold my shoulder together.

Thanks for the well wishes guys, and Jedi I hope yours heals fast and well. Having been a mechanic for so many years, I am almost ambidextrous and can acomplish most daily necessities with my left, but I miss my right. I got to take a shower one handed yesterday for the first time, it's doable but not easy. Shaving is no biggie, but brushing teeth just feels weird. My wife is being awesome, I guess she likes being needed, who knew ?

Wow, 8 months off, that had to be rough. My doc said 3-6 months, that's before he found the torn bicep. I haven't talked to him since the surgery, I'm shooting for the 3 because I'm anxious to get back to work again(I'm one of those weid people that likes his job). Ultimately, I will follow the doc's advise. I've got a checkup on the 15th and strict instructions to keep the sling on and not even try to move it till then.

The 6 incisions don't hurt,5 small ones for the arthroscopic tools and one about 2 inch on my bicep, it's like a deep bone ache from my elbow to my shoulder, but I can feel it improving a little each day.

Ya, he called, but I didn't think I would be much help to him, i don't know fuel injection, I may have to study up on it some day.

Feel better! I hope your recovery goes well. If you're not able to drive your Vette, make sure you stop out in the garage every day and spend some time with it. They get lonely.

Woo hoo, drove the vette down to a local cruise in last night, I'm glad it's an auto, or it would have been a few more weeks without drivin' it.
Physical therapy is going along ok,but I think those pt guys have a sadistic streak, man can they dish out the pain, jk, they do an awesome job.

Life is a little better behind the wheel of a C3.
