Went to check my battery yesterday and my drivers side seat will not fold down. There is no kind of release to pull/push, I has always just folded forward and rested it against the steering wheel. It starts to pivot and is being stopped by something, has anyone ever had this problem before? Just thought I would ask before I started taking things apart. TIA
Are you sure there isn't a release button at the top/rear of the seat? On my '72, the release button sometimes sticks and has to be depressed while wiggling the seat.
Are you on a slight incline and the shoulder harness lock is engaging?
It's a 1981, I have removed the shoulder harness about 5 years ago.
Also, I do not see any kind of release button anyplace. I have been just folding the seat forward for the past 14 years and just yesterday it stuck!
Thanks, can I just blow them out with compressed air and then squirt some WD-40 on the hinges.
Thank you both for the replys, I was going crazy looking for some kind of release button/lever.
