Heat shield for underhood a/c components
So, a number of us have used the adhesive backed heat shield to apply to the heater/ac box under hood.
Would there be any benefit to getting some similar heat shield cloth or blanket to suspend in front of the ac components to protect from heat from headers?
Anything to make ac work easier or more efficiently.

Sure, insulating the low pressure hose and the accumulator have some benefit. I replaced 3 or 4 hoses on my 77 before figuring it out. The headers were cooking the hose after a while and were not even very close. I use the silver backed stuff they make fire suits with.
