My grandparents, my best friends, surprised me this evening with a graduation present. I certainly expected them to give me something, seeing as how they are always in the gift giving mood, even when there is no event or occasion that would prompt a gift. I was worried that at graduation, they would spent far more than I would be comfortable accepting. Turns out, they didn't actually spend anything at all. I opened my card, only to find the title to my grandfather's 1977 Corvette, that had been changed to my name.
Needless to say, I felt like crying. My entire life, they have done more for me than I could ever repay them for. And now, this. I will cherish it, enjoy it, and most importantly, drive it for years to come. I have driven it for a couple of years now. But it is nice to officially be part of the community. God has blessed me with some amazing people in my life.
....maybe your Grandfather has a new ZR1 on order hahaha
If only! He never buys new vehicles. It was like pulling teeth to get him to pull the trigger on a 2012 Silverado. He got it 6 weeks ago, and still has yet to put a tank of gas in it lol. But, then again, his bought this Corvette completely on a whim back in 2007, so you never know!
Congratulations........not to sound like a preacher, but please be careful.....have a great summer, and good luck in the fall at whatever you decide to do.

Funny you should mention that. Everyone who has seen my car asks about my name. My name originates from my Xbox gamertag with originated on Christmas of 2007. At that time, my grandfather's plan was to paint the Corvette red. Well, sometime last year, we saw a similar Corvette painted pearl white and fell in love. He chose to paint it pearl instead of red, which looks better with the red interior anyhow. But, so many people know me as redvette77 on Xbox, here, and various other forums, it is too late to change lol.
