power door windows

power door windows

Can someone send me a how to remove the power window from a 77 door. I just bought the sport mirrors and you can't instal them until you remove the windows.

Start there and read the tech articles.

You are biting on the tail of a very big dog. I most strongly urge you to take continuous photographs during the disassembly process. Be advised that realigning after you put it back together can require the patience and skill of a zen master. Frankly, I would rather replace a camshaft.

Patience is what you need. This is a finess (sp) job and I recommend having some one to help you getting out and back in. This site from Wilcox Corvette should help you. Buy now cost $0.00 save it and print it. http://willcoxcorvette.com/advanced_...tment&x=48&y=6. Another little hint is make sure the cable from the mirror to the door is clear of the window. After market mirrors do not have the length as the orignals and may have to be ty-wraped to the door for clearance.

on my 82 ,i ran the window up about as far as it could go and took off two bolts.then the window came out.i did not take the window motor or the regulator out .did not have to.

BIG learning curve is on the horizon for you. No patience and door glasses do not mix.

Do you have the assembly instruction manual (AIM). It helps and includes instructions for setting the door glasses.
