Alnything else to replace while replacing water pump?

Alnything else to replace while replacing water pump?

Hey guys,

1978 Pace Car 20,043 miles

The water pump started making noise and I noticed it is a bit shaky. the last thing I need is for the fan to disconnect and go right through the hood!

What I'd like to know is, what would you guys recommend me replacing while replacing the water pump? One thing that I thought of is the belts.

I don't know if I would replace a correct original fan clutch, if it was still in working condition, but I would definitely consider replacing the hoses.

Belts at the very least. And a good time to check all the pulleys for end play and alignment.

I always replace the thermostat when replacing a water pump.

Just a thought, if that is the original water pump its dated and you might want to have it rebuilt or hold onto it.
