have just recieved a new tank sender retainer ring and o'ring/gasket from a dealer here downunder, but they look to small
can some body please confirm a size for me as i'm away from car at the moment
the o'ring is about 60mm (2-25/64" or 2.390") outside dia and about 6.2mm / 1/4" thick
is this about the size?
looks too small to pass the sender unit thru...
maybe it's just an optical illusion when laying under the car..

I just measured the ones I have and the measurements you gave are correct.

I cannot fathom your patience, frustration level, will power, persistence..
I can't take it sometimes and I can go to Auto Zone, O'Reillys, NAPA, Western Auto... and I still can't seem to get the right stuff. You get a big ole ATTA BOY!

I just did this last weekend, so I could measure for you, but it looks like that's already covered. So I kind of glued in my rubber O ring with just a couple of tiny daubs of black RTV sealant and let it cure for a bit. But I did find that, when I pounded the retaining ring it, it could've been a few mm wider in the outside diameter. It kind of fit up against one side better than the other. So I just tapped it "laterally" on the side that seemed to not quiet fit as tightly, and it was centered more adequately IMO. Dumped 10 gallons of gas in and no leaks (so far!).
