Here it is Memorial Day weekend, 95 outside and I am in the garage sanding my rally wheels to repaint. Stop the insanity!

Thanks to all of those that have served our great nation. Be safe this weekend.

I try to do all my hard stuff between December and April for just that reason. I may start in November this year though. We had some sweet cruising days in April that I missed.

I say many thanks to those who have served for our great country. Thank you, thank you!

I'm sure it's the thought that counts, but thanking veterans for their service is not the purpose of Memorial Day. It's for honoring those that lost their lives while serving our country in the military. This day is for remembering the dead. November eleventh, Veterans Day, is for remembering the living.

Some might poo-poo that as a distinction without a difference. I think not. Just like the dumbing down of Independence Day by shouting Happy 4th of July. Harrumph!
