I bought headers for my 80 and needed a dual exhaust. So I went to order the set for the 80 from Corvette Central. The 2 pipes were $219 plus shipping. Because it was over sized it was $119 for shipping. Then I saw they had a special with the same pipes and Magna flow mufflers for $325 and the shipping was $36. I thought it was odd and questioned it. They said it was a special because it was a full system. So I bought the full system with the mufflers and ended up with extra mufflers for an extra $23. So in about a week I will be putting a new set of magna flow mufflers in the parts section.
I saw a guy on ebay sell something just that way (low selling price, high shipping/handling) I guess he was trying to beat the system. ( I assume you pay ebay a percentage of the selling price, not including shipping??) I don't know if worked in his favor or not! Have a great weekend, Bill
Did you buy the "standard" or "hideaway" option? I just got the full system myself with the "hideaways"...I still can't see how they ship this stuff so cheap; mine came in 4(!!!!) boxes!
