Wanted to relay my VERY bad experience with Grundy Insurance. Their customer service has gone to the dogs.
They keep you on hold WAY too long every time you call, they won't make changes to a policy over the phone, and their custormer service people were not at all friendly.
Then, when I tried to cancel the policy, not only didn't they do it, but they actually sent me a renewal for a car I had sold 3 months earlier. Unacceptable. Avoid them at all costs.
I am happily with Haggerty now. I know they're not the cheapest, but they've treated me well and they're a Michigan company, so my $$ stay in my state. I like that.
I agree that Grundy customer service has gone to the dogs, I believe ownership of the company has changed hands recently. I had them for 3 years and I have recently switched to NCM Insurance but had no problem canceling my Grundy policy. I received a cancellation form in a few minutes via email and had a rebate check within a few days to a week.
Meanwhile, dealing with Adam from NCM, a fellow CF member and Corvette owner, was nothing more than spectacular. He answers the phone, calls you back or answers any email within a very timely matter and got me more coverage for less money.

I posted a while back about Grundy changing ownership and they are truly a disaster to deal with any customer service issues - I can only imagine if you need to file a claim. Dealing with Adam was a pleasure.
Grundy lost there License to sell collector car insurance, they sold all there policy's to another insurance company, I have a 55 Chevy street rod with them, my current recent Corvette is with Hagerty, the 55 will go to them in a few months, so far they have been first class
Hagerty. $220 a year, $18,000 agreed value with towing upgrade. I called them once in the last five years for towing. Really nice people, I probably called them 10 minutes to soon, I got the car running again and cancelled the tow, caught them just in time. They were happy I called.
Called a claim in to Hagerty no problems at all....
I can only wish all my customer service was that easy.
71 vert $205 @yr with towing upgrade..

It sucks that you had to go through that. I’m covered by the aarp antique car insurance- haven’t encountered and problem so far.
You might want to reread your policy since one paragraph starts
"in most states, the amount of classic car insurance coverage is determined using "stated amount", and in some states "agreed".
