Default Door alignment
How can I tell if my door is misaligned. On the passenger side I really have to slam the door to get it to close but not on the drivers side. I put on weatherstripping a while ago and still have to slam it. I think it might be misaligned. All help is appreciated!

The doors on my 71 were hard to close when I first got the car, had to slam them. I put on new seals, adjusted the windows and they now work as they should .

Gaps should be even all around. All four corners should be flush with the fenders.

Tweak the lock post.

Before you do anything check the door hinge bushings as well. The worst thing you can do is to start adjusting things without knowing what is actually causing the problem.

Hinge pin bushings.

Open the door, grab it near the lock, and try and move it up and down.
