Default Headlight adjustment problem.

I just got done rebuilding the headlight assemblies. Everything works fine except the D/S headlight door is low on the inside corner. The outside fits a little low but the other side is way down. How to adjust that.

A pic would help, but it sounds like you need to tweak the bearing collars just a tad. They have a bit of adjustment built in. Loosen the three bolts (do not remove) enough to allow you to move the door.

No pic needed the front inside corner is a little low. I will adjust that collar later

The collar is more for side to side fit in the opening. There is an adjustment so the door doesn't close so far. I'll try to find you the adjustment procedure and post it.

There is a bolt in the center of one of the arms that adjusts how far the door closes. With the headlight in the up position it is fairly easy to get to. From memory I believe it is a 1/2inch head, screw it out to raise the door.
I hope this helps some.

I think they meant the bearings are adjustable, the holes that the bolts go thru are oblong, allowing a little adjust there when the doors are closed. Loosen them a little to allow movement, then tighten up when adjustment is done. May take a few times to get right, but what doesn't on these cars? Just put mine back in after painting the car, a little adjust here and a little adjustment there, and the door top cover aligns up with front of the car. The collar is for side to side, gap adjustment.

I know about that bolt. Only one side if the front of the door is out of alignment.
