Started 2012 Power Tour in Milwaukee WI by taking ferry across lake Michigan with 20 other power tour guys. Then drove to Detroit (7 cities in 7 days) ended in Arlington Texas. 3,000 miles in a week, and would do it again in a heart beat! Made some new friends, and had a great time with old friends. The time I spent with my son, (PRICELESS)

My wife and I were headed from Chicago to Detroit last Monday and were treated to moving car show on I94. Amazing variety of cars. Loved it! The great part was that since we were going the opposite way we got to see them all!
Thanks for posting pics ! I love following the HRPT through the eyes of actual participants. The rumor is the route in 2013 will be TX to NC. If that's true, I plan on attending my first HRPT. I think my son (8) will be old enough to last the entire week. I'll probably have the car transported to TX, then drive back east. Any suggestions/tips on what to expect on the tour ? It seems like it always rains, and then gets extremely hot.

Expect a great time and meet new friends. It does rain on most of the trips but this one was pretty dry with great weather. Make sure your cooling system works well. If your car is prone to overheat, power tour will make it happen. There are plenty of people to help if you have a problem. GM will repair a brake down for free, you need to pay for parts and I would slip the GM guy a beer or two.
