C3 Passes C6
I found this pic on the Lone Star Corvette Club web site. It is my car passing a new C6 Grand Sport. If this guy could drive his car better I wouldn't have had the chance. Nonetheless, it makes for a good picture!

My small block can hang with teh LS cars. I just don't have enough brake (stock C3 brake set-up with drilled rotors and hard pads). Straightaway is 100+ mph. And I need some racing seats along with harnesses. No sense in driving in too deep and losing it or getting tossed around on the stock seat and losing control.

It's nice seeing a C3 on the track. I can't hardly count the number of times I've looked around the pits, and I've got the oldest car there.

That's great.
In 1968 I lined up against a 375 HP 396 Chevelle in my '67 Camaro. At that time, my Camaro was running mid 13s with 7" slicks.
I don't know exactly how the Chevelle was set up, but I nailed him on the line. I looked in the rear view mirror and all I saw was smoke from him.
I beat him. However, about a foot past the line he passed me like I was standing still :-) . But a win is a win :-) .
