Insulation
Getting ready to replace my carpets on my 81 and I see they sell noise insulation that goes below the carpet and also behind the door panels.
Even on the rare occasion I am driving with the windows up, the tee’s on and the music low it doesn’t seem like it will make a difference or does it?

Use the "search" feature of this forum- there have been lots of posts regarding the various sound/heat insulation brands.
And yes, it's worth doing. I use Reflectix- available for $20 at Home Depot or Lowes- - get a can of spray adhesive while you're at it. Inexpensive with good results.

I posted yesterday that I have a resonable solution... Like you my tops are never on, four inch sidepipes in each ear ect... My $1 set of ear plugs work great... Conversations are easy just no wind noise...Someone will mention cabin heat... I took care of that.... Hookers... No firewall heat .. That did cost more than a dollar though...!!
