Thanks. Open to suggestions. Can you provide a link? Specs? Fab/mod info? Pix? Vendor(s)? Any info would be wicked good.
An alternative to Fiero seats are the Corbeau A4s. The photos are the leather models for $1395.00 per pair. Non leather are half the price. They come with direct bolt in rails. For taller individuals, they have shaved rails for an extra inch of head room. I looked at a lot of seat options and found the Corbeau's to be very cost effective and most important, EASY to do.
They are a compromise, as I do think C5/C6 seats look very nice, and Fiero seats look good also. I didnt want to mess with fabricating custom rails, locating and refurbishing/reupholstering older seats. If seats were my only project, I may have gone a different route. Some may call my approach, lazy, lol. I bought my seats from Mike Mak at TPS Motorsports. He was very helpful and gave me an excellent forum member discount. The seats arrived in a week.

Your seats is what piqued my interest. Did you have to do anything to the seat foam?
No, i bought them from a junk yard, took off the cloth, replaced the speakers with some better ones, and had my local trim shop guy put the leather on them. I was able to buy the brackets for the seat tracks online instead of making them but cant find them anymore. Was a pretty easy install though.
Sorry found the link if you want to buy the brackets already made with the screws....
The Fiero seats mod is one of the best I ever did. Ordered covers from MrMikes.com and modified the rails using the method PHPD7102 linked you to.
Same! The seats are MUCH better. The only issue I have is not having Tilt/Tele makes it a little more difficult to get my legs in. I've perfected my technique though and it isn't much of an issue.
Hey guys great info so far, and thanks for the replies. I have found several pairs of Fiero seats on line. Cheapest set was $35, most expensive $200.
Mr. Mikes has gotten rave reviews and I would consider his kit for covering and I would go for the pre fab mount plates (just one less to fab and more time spent troubleshooting other areas)
The A4's are nice too, but If I can do the seats for below $800 that would be wicked good. It would give me more $$ somewhere else in the car.
Those that have done redone their seats, did any of you have to redo the foam? If so, what can you suggest or share.
If you go with the Mr.Mikes upholstery kit, he supplies you with the tools and foam and glue to repair the foams before installing the covers. the most damage on the Fiero seats is generaly on the bolsters of the driver seat. As mentioned earlier, repair that damage and switch the seat bottoms to put the repair on the inside near the console.
When I installed the covers on my seats, I purchased a couple extra yards of 1/2in thick foam sheet from the fabric store and added it to all of the bolsters and headrest. Kind of made them look a bit overstuffed at first, but also kept out any ripples from the new covers.
