Default Happy Canada Day...

...to my fellow Canucks. Today is our 145th birthday. Weather here in Ottawa is mostly sunny with a current temp of 78*F. Almost perfect. I managed two hours out in the 1974 this morning and it was a wonderful drive.

Enjoy the day, and perhaps a few Molsons, but leave those until you've put the Corvette to rest.

The Molsons that you guys send down here just aren't the same as the ones you so greedily keep to yourselves. Enjoy your holiday, and be careful with those fireworks!

Happy Canada Day all, love this country. We took the vette on a 4 hour country road tour this morning/afternoon. Lots of small town events showing great pride in our country. All the best to our fellow countrymen and global neighbours.

And here is a little sweetie, helping to celebrate the holiday.
Her flags are a little small, and perhaps not according to usual Government of Canada bureaucratic standards, but no complaint from me.

Steve may be able to provide an explanation. She was very pretty and the photo was very ordinary compared to much of what I see in CFOT on occasion. I thought it added some colour to the thread.

In any case, the BBQ deed is done and some Chardonnay enjoyed. We are looking forward to the fireworks as the sun goes down. There will be 58 bursts of 300mm projectiles (largest allowed in Canada) plus much more smaller displays. Those former will rock your socks!

Judging from the deletion's notation, it was this:

Inappropriate images
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For a long time, Corvetteforum.com had a “Babes” section. Our experience showed us that trying to enforce rules in the section was more difficult that it needed to be. A lot of the content posted was copyrighted pictures from other Internet sites. A lot of it was not “work-safe.” When it was borderline work-safe, it often led to "back-tracking" to pictures that were not work-safe and/or to requests for "unposties" to be distributed by PM.

For those reasons alone, we discontinued the section and do not allow Babes pictures to be posted on the Forum.

Allowing the posting of Babes pictures on the Forum or even links to sites that include Babes pictures or film clips makes us vulnerable to being blocked by corporate servers as a “not work safe” environment. That means many of us who like to check in on the Forum during breaks at work would no longer be able to do so.

No nudity, semi-nudity, suggestive, seductive or sexual images, film clips or emoticons. No images, clips or emoticons that would be shocking or offensive because of the content. Moderators will err on the side of caution in eliminating questionable images.

Members who quote the inappropriate links/images or comments in their reply, are held equally accountable as the member who originally posted it.

If you want that kind of content, there are lots of places on the Internet to find it, but Corvetteforum.com will not be one of them.

Thanks for the explanation Steve. I will get on with Canada Day now (an older pic but one I like).

Thanks for replying. Many people do not know that Detroit is "north" of Windsor, Ontario. In any case, thank you for the greetings!

True, but we are south of most of Canada! I remember going to the joint Windsor/Detroit fireworks celebration as a kid. Always a good time.

I am gone for the evening to see the fireworks as the sun is now going down. So thanks for the greetings. Much appreciated. Not to be sentimental but we are a proud country. And love it dearly. Today is our day as July 4 will be yours in the USA in the next few days.

God bless us all who live in relative comfort and safety in North America.
