My friends father died and left his vette to him, Im a c5 owner and told him id get him a average price from here. He wants to sell it, ( I wouldnt ) I dont have any pics just asking what a 76 stingray all stock, white in color black interior , brand new tires, just put em on drove it home and died. Car looks perfect, air works. All ariginal. clean paint, Interior showes its age ( cracks in leather) but no tears, They are ariginal seats, dash looks good, no cracks, always maintained when something broke or wore out. 76,000 miles. Please help him price it,???
Just talked to himagain, His father bought the car in 79 and has owned ever sence, never been wrecked but has been painted as to the code. I told him I got a $7500 price here and he said no way hed take less the $12,000 for it. So disregard this post, lol.

$7500 or so? Lotta variables without eyes-on examination - - might be a bit more. Sounds like a nice car.

As a rule, with all things being equal, '76s are usually the least expensive C3 to buy.

An L82 4spd with a/c is top of the heap for '76.

Does it have either?

Push come to shove, he can used the assessed value of the car his dad was paying property taxes on. The registration receipt will list the value.

He'll never get $12k. A lot of better deals out there right now. Better just keep it and drive it.

Got the VIN, we can get the engine from that (if it hasn't been "Bubba-ed"). I'd say $7k to 8k depending on engine and assuming a pretty spotless driver.
White vettes are harder to move IMHO.

It's worth every penny of 12,000 to someone who is willing to pay it. I don't mean that sarcastically at all. Every car, no matter how rare or common it might be is only worth what someone is willing to pay. If he feels strongly that it's a 12,000 car, put it up for sale at that and see if you get any bites on it.
