Default No trunk?

ok...Bear with me. My boyfriend wants to buy a C3 Corvette. I love them, and I think they're beautiful. However I have absolutely no knowlege of the mechanics, except that it's a V8 and a 4-speed.

He likes to tease me because I cannot figure out why it doesn't have room for a proper trunk. He has challenged me to find out. From a strictly visual point, there appears to be empty space in the rear end for something more than the little storage area. Does the gas tank take up that much space???

I appreciate any response, and I thank you for not laughing.

Sound to me like HE doesn't know why there isn't a trunk, and just wants you to find the answer so he can save face and say "yep, that's why"

The C3 has no trunk, because there is a gas tank where the trunk should be, and a spare tire where the gas tank should be.

Lemon
Open the gas filler lid (on the rear deck of the car) and look at the extra space above the gas tank.

The trunk is inside the car, where the rear seat should be.

U C, in other cars they put the spare tire IN the trunk, but that would be too easy..

If he buys an 80-82 C3 there is room in the back for some bags. Those years seem to have some extra storage room.

The 78 and 79 have the extra storage too. The bubble back window that gives the extra room began in 78.

I should have closed the thread before I started editing, but I'll do it anyway to keep people out of the penalty box...
