Can a broken or bad shock cause the rear of my 81 to be an inch higher on one side? I noticed today that the drivers side is an inch higher then the passengers side in the rear. Can this be caused by a bad shock?
Measure the distance to the ground on both sides of the frame. If they're the same then the problem is with the body or mounts. If they're different then it's in the suspension unless the frame is bent.

hey
I had the same problem with mine i adjusted the suspension in the rear. There are bolts with nuts and also i cotter pin if you loosen the nut down it brings the rear of the car down on that side and vice versa tighten it up and the suspension will go up. BUT you can only go so far down the cotter pin HAS to be installed still.
Also car must be on ground not jacked up. Its tight but very do-able
