help with spare tire lock

Are you sure you have the right key? The reason I ask is that I had some spare keys laying around and I wasn't sure if they were for the Corvette or my 87 Olds. The key would go into the cylinder, but would not turn. They were spares for my Cutlass.

Roger sent me the same tech advice and it worked awesome! Once I took off the whole assembly, I lubed the lock well and let it sit for awhile. Took me 30 mins but I was finally able to depress the pin and the lock assembly slid right off. Be patient, it will work. Good luck.
