Can anyone post a photo of how the side pipe attaching nuts affix to the body on a 1969 Corvette?
I have a mechanical drawing/diagram that comes with the Paragon repro sidepipes ... but I would like to see a photo(s) of what it looks like in real life.
Here is a picture from my untouched original car. The blind nuts are inserted thru the hole in the body. There is a gap between the frame rail and the body. I had to replace most of them and used epoxy to hold in place. The picture is upside down, because I was interested in the number stamped on the frame.....
If you are talking about the fasteners at the ends of the covers, that is shown in the AIM. I would scan the page and post it, but I have put my copy in long term storage...along with the car.
