Anyone have a pic of where the reveal clips go on the windsheild frame? I have an AIM but it doesn't give much info. I repaired the frame when I had the body off and welded in some patches, most of the screws were rusted off and the holes were patched over or welded up.
I know there are 11 required and I am guessing 3 each side and 5 across the top. So, a pic showing at least some of them would be a big help.
Thanks
Hello David, I used dynamat as there's pretty much nothing else to come by here. Others have used Hushmat, A product from the local DIY (lowes?). You have dynamat and dynaliner. The latter is mostly for heat reduction and goes underneath the dynamat. I only used dynamat for acoustic reasons, it's a 'heavy mass' product what you need for sound absorption. The interior 'sounds' more solid for example when you close the doors so as a sound insulation it does it's job. You only need a roller to apply, heavy duty scissors and gloves or you'll get up with lots of painfull cuts in your hand due to the aluminium foil. Make sure the areas where you want to apply it is clean for the bitumen to stick to. I started from the rear and moved foreward covering as much as possible (wheelarches, quarter panels, birdcage, metal doorpanels, etc.
For heat insulation i installed a heater hose valve, installed the firewall insulation as it came from the factory, the transmission tunnel insulation (above the tranny), the transmission tunnel collar (in between the bellhousing and the firewall), filled unused firewall holes and open firewall grommet holes, seals between brakebooster/firewall, added heat shields on the exhaust where it runs underneath the floorboards and made sure the ventilation flappers work as they should. In short everything the factory did except the exhaust heat shields.
If i got the dynamat/dynaliner combination wrong someone will correct me.
Sry for the hijack sixfooter.

If it's a coupe, the stainless T Molding might help you locate them
I plan to do the same thing. We also replaced the windshield frame corners, and patched in new metal, so our holes are all filled too. So I`ll put the molding where it belongs, and use that as a template for where to drill the holes for the clips.
I think when I did my 71 it had only 10 clips. If I remember they came in a set of thirteen which really through me off. As as dembo stated they line up to the tabs on the upper molding.
6' Danny, best to ignore all that unless you figger on a new windshield soon, and just stuff the leftover space between the glass and metal with black RTV, and use it to bed the chrome down solidly, and so NO water is possible to get into anything close to the steel window frame....that's the way I did mine....waterproof, wipe the excess RTV off and let cure overnight, may have to hold trim down with a clamp or two, or maybe just tape....
