Default 74 bumper support something missing here?

Anybody got a pic of how it looks before the nose goes on? looks like I have the reinforcing arms in the same as the aim but the top of the right one doesnt sit flush to the front of the frame extention, doesnt look bent though. Am I missing something here?

left side looks good

right side the lip on the side extends past the surface keeping the bolt from drawing the 2 pieces flush

Of course the aim shows the front from left to right so the diagram is vague about how that side bolts up.

Maybe it's just the way I'm looking at it, but it appears the black mounting tab is slightly askew? That's supported by the missing black paint? Have you laid a straight edge on it? Can you tighten the bolt up any more? It should be able to draw it together.

I think you might have those brackets on the wrong sides. I think that lip extends alongside the black piece that is attached to the vacuum reservoir. I'm looking for pics.

[edit] I didn't have a good picture from the correct angle, but I had one from the inside and I couldn't see the lip, so I still believe you have them on the wrong sides.

[edit] I went and looked at my car and you have them on the right sides.

No its not the black bracket that part is fine,it looks like the reinforcing arm was just made that way. you can see the inner lip extends past the surface. Does not appear bent or damaged in any way, thats why Im wondering if Im missing something here. Pretty sure they are not replacement so they were assembled at some point.
Could easily fix the issue with a couple shims or washers...

My first thought was I had them reversed as well, even though according to the aim they are correct.
