HeHey looking for some help here. I am trying to find the dimensions of the original seats that came width the car. Does anyone know?... also i am want to install racing seats in my 1981 corvette and i have the measurements does anyone know if these seats will fit... heres the dimensions of the seats i "want" to install... height 36" width 20" back to front 22.5". Shoulder width of backing 22".... someone please help!
The corbeau A4 seats come in two sizes, narrow and wide. Make sure you get the narrow set as the wides are just that- to wide to fit. Also I had to mount mine straight to the floor and all the way back or else they wouldn't tilt foward without hitting something. I couldn't find my booklet but if you go to their web site they have the measurments for them so least you'll have a pretty good idea what will fit. My.02
C3 seats are pretty easy to remove, you could take the passenger seat out and actually measure it. If you already have the aftermarket seats, you could trial fit them, too. Can't help you out with any measurements myself, though, sorry. BTW, if you do remove a seat, you'll see that the stock seats are already pretty light, you'll be hard pressed to find a lighter one.
It is pretty commonly accepted that Pontiac Fiero seats fit very nicely into a C3 'vette, if that helps.
Keep the shiny side up!

Alright - thanks for all the info gents. I decided just to order the Corbeau A4's. I opted for cloth, even though my stock seats are leather. I'm trying to keep somewhat economical, although the Corbeau's are nowhere near as cheap as the Cipher's. A buddy suggested I just bolt the Cipher's down to the frame and be done with it, but I'd rather keep some of the original functionality (like slider). I did buy the double-locking slider frame for the Corbeau's, but I also got the 4-point harness (in red, as that will be my interior accent color). Hoping I don't miss the ability to move forward too much while strapped in.
Will definitely post pics when I get them and get them in.
