Being original is not a concern for me. The car needed everything, so I'm taking the restomod/custom aproach. I've always wanted a C3 and being short of funds I bought the first cheap one I found. Knowing what I do now I may have held out for a 68-73. When I bought it in '08 I had no idea that the economy would tank and bring prices down.
As for "sell it and buy a chrome bumper", after having rebuilt every part of my rolling chassis, there is no way to recoop even close to what I spent. And since I don't want to take a loss, I won't be selling anytime soon.
However, I would like to see a completed car before making the leap to the Custom Image bumper. After being out a year, I'm sure they've sold at least a couple. Are the owners just too scared to post the results?
