Do not know if this problem has arisen with anyone else, but I have a strong gas smell anytime I turn on my A/C (usually always on in Florida).
Tried replacing the fuel supply line to carb, but it seems to get worse. No fuel laying around inside the engine compartment. Where does air for A/C/ enter for cooling anyway. My wife says she can alwaystell when I have been in the Vette, because I smell of gas. Not good......
what year is your car? may be the canister needs new charcoal in it, or these lines are unhooked, that's is why I asked what year car to see if you have one or not. Could be a rubber fuel line leaking or the fuel pump itself. Have you looked under the car for puddles, or fuel leaking anywhere? What have your checked on?
I must compliment you on your 10 year CF membership. Although this is your first post in 9 years! 3 total posts in 10 years must be a record. Some folks on CF post 3 times in 10 minutes.
I'd check a fuel vapor rubber return line for cracks.
