I'm in the process of doing mine on my 73. So far no problems, everything is in place like it would be on a 72. The only problems I have had so far was gathering up everything I needed to do it.
I will be doing this on my 77 too. I found all the parts also. From other threads I have seen, lots of guys remove the glass, and like it so much they havent put the glass back in for years. Good luck.

I changed out the glass on my '76. I was given all the hardware and the back glass from an earlier car and it was pretty simple. I was not looking forward to removing the stationary glass but I cut the gasket with a razor blade and it came right out. I just need to find the modified halo panels for the latches still.....
I found a good window frame at a swap meet, had a local glass shop cut and temper the glass, and got everything esle as new reproductions. Hardest parts were removing the old sealant and installing the new seal.
If you also want the storage tray, that will get a little pricier, as I don't believe anyone has reproduced those. I didn't bother with it on mine.
