What wheels will fit
Hey guys. My father is currently restoring his 81 corvette. He is wondering what is the biggest size wheel that will fit under the car stock? Width wise. I don't see a lot of guys with C3's running aftermarket wheels or even newer c5/c6 style wheels. Will c5/c6 factory wheels fit with possible a spacer?

2 1/2 front, 3" rear, theres a set in the for sale section, depending on wheel offset. really hard on the bearings

If he goes with C5 or C6 style wheels a 17x8.5 or 18x8.5 in the front and a 18x9.5 in the rear should fit without issues providing you use the correct adapters. I don't know what thickness adapter you will need as it depends on what wheels you wind up going with. The backspace after using the adapter needs to be about 4.25" on the 8.5 front wheel and about 5" - 5.5" on the 8.5 rear wheel. You can try doing a search using "adapters" and there should be a lot more info on this.
