C3 in Long Island NY
Thought I would inquire about my buddy’s ‘69 that s supposed to be in Long Island.
It is a Black/saddle leather, 427/390 BB, 4sp, PW, factory side exhaust. I think my buddy sold it over 10 years ago. It came from Omaha,NE. Just wondering if it is still around. This particular car was on the line during the 1969 strike.

Orange 1977
I just bought this "Corvette Orange" (66) 1977. I got it from the original owner's family (he passed) and it has 23k miles from new. As far as I can tell, this paint is the original from the factory. Honestly, it was the color that really turned me on about the car. I love the crazy period shade.
To top it off, the car has the dark brown cloth/leather seats that the original buyer ordered from the factory. It was a no-cost option instead of the standard leather. It was a bit of an oddball order. Per his widow, he never liked A/C so it's a no-air, crank windows, L48 4-speed with the cloth. It still has the original Delco AM/FM mono radio (it works, but it's faint). 1970's all the way... I need a mustache now.
Of course, it took about a day before a friend informed me that Dirk Diggler drove an orange 1977 in Boogie Nights. In the movie they refer to it as "competition orange," but that was just some poetic license.

Driving season in Iowa is winding down fast. I snuck in a bonus day last weekend and drove around to small towns in Iowa. This is in Lone Tree, IA.

The wife's Challenger is Header Orange (last available in 2014) and her '73 is Ontario Orange. Obviously she likes orange, but a brighter, more in your face orange (like the Header Orange) just wouldn't look right.
