Agreed. I installed C5 seats and love em. Fairly easy to install with just a few drilled holes and some washers. After posting just saw the Mustang seats and love those too.

I was looking for C5 seats, actually bidding on a set, but when they went over $800 plus shipping I gave up. I found my set of Mustang seats for $350 including shipping, I thought what a deal. Anyway, I am very happy. Al

Thanks.
I think the seats in my '80 are pretty comfortable, actually. Maybe it's what you're used to to, and I guess if you have back problems, ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Like I said, I like the seats in my '80, but if they are keeping you from enjoying your 'vette, then, by all means, get rid of 'em! I may try that rubber hose trick, actually.

Keep the shiny side up!

I'm the opposite, I find my 79 seat very comfortable, in particular the back support but the side bolsters are a big pain as they make it quite a bit more difficult to get in and out of the seat. I think the 79-82 seats are far better looking than the 68-77 seats but I'm thinking of swapping my 79 seats for some 68-77 seats to make it easier to get in and out of the car. Unfortunatly I don't know anyone with an older C3 so I can try the early seats before I try to buy some.
