Looking forward to seeing how this build turns out! I read through your C6 build thread, that car turned out awesome! I have one question, what made you switch to a C3 based project? I realize the chassis, suspension, & brakes will be all modern, so it must be the far superior looks of the C3 body that changed your mind!

Never changed my mind, I'm looking for all the time to purchase new(old) C6, but this time base car will be Z06..

Got so much €€€ from old C6 (ZR6X), I was forced to sell..

That is going to be sweet. I wish I have the funds to have gone with a SS chassis, but it was not to be. I really like that rear setup.

Do you know the history of the car? That's an awful lot of rust in that birdcage. Wondering if it has always been in Finland and someone drove it in the winter?

I was hoping that wasn't a typical birdcage.

That's a boat load of work and OP is doing a great job!

I started to make some practice and memory refresh with fiberglass and carbon. First I needed small items to make molds.

Working with final finishing of painted pieces

Waxing them about 5 times

Gelcoat drying.

Fiberglass spreaded.(made few mistakes)

Molds removed. Obviously fresh pait was not enough dry, see original parts.

Next I'll finish the molds for actual carbon part and continue practising

Any advice welcomed!!!

Your work is fascinating, your attention to detail is incredible and your modesty is well modest. Love the work you did on your last endeavor and I will continue to watch with anticipation. Thank you for the artist in you that we all wish we had.
