The Northeast Timing Org has a series of races, with bracket racing for cars 30 years old and older. Sunday, at Island dragway, I was in bracket 3, 12.00 to 13.99. I managed to go five rounds and outlasted 30 competitors. Got a big trophy for the effort.
This was my 1st round competition. He ran 13.21 on a 13.20 dial but a poor reaction time did him in. My best ET for the day was 12.55 in not so good air.

Might be a stupid question, but being from Europe i have no idea what these times mean...All i know is that a 10 second car is fast! (thank you Fast & Furious!)
What engine and how many HP does your car have to do these times, and what speed do you pass the line at?
Carlos - The times I mentioned are 1/4 mile, standing start, elapsed times. A ten second car is very fast. Best time so far on mine is 12.40, not nearly as fast. Sunday I was running 107 mph when I ran it all the way through, which doesn't always happen in bracket racing. I have a 383 small block, maybe 350 - 370 HP.

Thank you for clearing that out!
I knew what a quarter mile race was, just didn't have a frame of reference as to what your times represented!
Man, if you do those times with your car i can't imagine what my poor 76 L48 would do! Maybe 15 seconds!

Have you never been to Santa Pod Carlos?
Thats good times there amigo
Best I had in my 2004 Ford Lightning was a 13.9 @ 101 so those are good numbers for a 30 year old
