Default carb/intake help

Hey guys,

I'm getting ready to start my 79 L82 with the new 383 stroker. Old engine had the holley aluminum intake with the quadrajet carb. Well, evidently the previous owner stripped the fuel intake on the carb and gas is leaking everywhere. I found a fix for that problem, but now I'm thinking about replacing the carburetor and would appreciate any input. I'm not sure what will fit under the hood and/or work with the holley intake. I was wondering what some of you have used or had success with. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

thanks,
Gary

Not sure Rick, I believe it is a spread bore. Here is a picture, is it a spread bore? Thanks for the help!
