Running Summit's 600 cfm on my 350 L48 with Edelbrock heads,Air Gap Manifold.Great Carb for less than 250.00 has Annular Boosters,one piece design,external float adjustments.EZ carb to setup here's my write up:

Thanks for the info Lars. I actually tried on of those first, but it didn't work. Carb already had a helical thread insert in it. It was a refurb unit. The local carb guy is actually providing a carb that he is going to rebuild. Mine just goes as a core.

I'm running a modified Q jet in my '77. NOT a stock motor, large cam, heads etc. The Q jet is really a very sophisticated carb, if set up right. There are an awful lot of super stock cars running 10's with them. Mine combines very good part-throttle response with great top end. No reason to go to the cost of switching.

He didn't break out the core charge and I didn't ask. Charged me 350.00 for the new carb (set for stock engine) and $175.00 to set it up for my engine. The old carb wasn't the original model/style for a 79 l82 vette. That said, I have another q-jet if you need a core, but I'm not sure what model it is.
