increasing fuel line size
Has anyone ever increased a C3 fuel line size without raising the body? If so, would you please describe the method you used, including do's and do not's? I understand it is a difficult job. I need to increase my stock 1980 size to feed a performance 406.

Why do you think the stock 3/8" line isnt sufficient for a 406 ?

Hmm. Do you need a return? Could you tee off before the hard line, use both lines to feed fuel, then recombine them at the engine?

I've been led to believe by articles in the Vette and Corvette Fever magazines that the stock size is smaller than 3/8".

Stock fuel line size is 3/8- regardless of which engine was in the car when delivered. Even the HP big blocks had 3/8 line.

OK. I won't worry about keeping what's there now, but I'd like to measure the inside diameter after I disconnect the hose in the engine compartment.

Increasing Fuel Line Size
I measured the fuel line size. The OD is 0.375 inch. With 0.028 inch wall thickness, the ID is 0.0319, or about 5/16 inch.
