I posted this in the Die Casts forum, but thought you guys might like it as well.
This is supposed to represent the "Alpha" car, which was the first Corvette produced in the current Bowling Green Kentucky plant.
This was started with combining the 1/8 scale `78 and `82 Corvette kits. It is almost 2 feet long!
Let me know what you think!
So where does the battery go, or is it nitro powered? And where is the antenna for the radio reciever? I bet my Traxxas Rustler would stomp that thing!
LOL, just kidding. Looks great. And I agree, I did not believe it was a model at first.
Looks great! I have both of those kits sitting here on the shelf along with the midyear and C4. You don't see too many of those old 1/8 kits around anymore. Yours definitely looks very, very good all built.
Chaos, you may be able to stomp this with your Raptor, but not so easy if you tried to take my Midnight Pumpkin! Not a typical Midnight Pumpkin though....brushless setup, 45C Lipos, other good stuff...

Yeah, you probably got me there. I just have the basic Traxxas Rustler stadium truck kit. Just picked it up a few weeks ago, so it's still stock, but planning some upgrades for the future.
Bonus points for video of the 'Pumpkin driving over the Vette model.... jk!
Nice builds Hawk.
Have you ever been to the NNL show in NJ? It's the biggest model car show in the USA. I vend at that show every year. I've been building models for clients for many years, mostly sports cars, Ferrari's, Cobras, LeMans race cars, etc. if you haven't gone its a great show to see what people build. Lots of talent there.
I love 1/8th scale anything, since they fit my backyard railroad. I also like cutting the roofs off stuff, so what do you think I did with a Monogram C2 fastback model I found on ebay. And since they don't make a 1/8th scale Delorean, I had to make my own.

That`s really cool! Thanks for sharing. What did you make the Delorean out of of? A 1/8 scale train is huge I bet!
The `65 looks spectacular!
