So, i probably spent the better part of 45 minutes looking around my engine tonight (its in a garage about an hour away from me). My temp gauge has not been registering anything with the engine running, so i figured i would find the temperature sending unit and verify that the wire is connect to it. The darndest thing happened though, I couldnt find it.... I checked both sides of the engine, back around the dizzy, around the t-stat housing, the water pump, and all around there. Where in the world is the temperature sending unit supposed to be on a '68 327?
While my engine and manifold is by no means original, this is where it is on mine, and I believe that was the original location in the top left of this pic.
Stock 327 temp sender is in the block between #1 and #3 plugs. If memory serves, the temp gauge wire is green. The 68 AIM shows the sender and the wire from the harness.

Nope that's wrong. We covered that in my thread this morning.
Follow the wiring from the voltage regulator to the alternator and the green wire is bundled in this harness. It should be in a black wrap. (if its still there) Pull the wrap and you will see the green. The wire drops out of the alt harness to the temp sender...
