heater core install problem
has anyone installed a heater core in their 68-77 vette with ac, my problem is that the depth of my old core is 2.5 inch while the new ones are only 2inch. thick.
this makes it impossible to use the old mounting straps. i checked with napa and even though their parts description showed 2.5 inch thick the ones that they had were only 2 inch thick

I've been thru this. Forget NAPA. Their info says they are 2.5" but when they order them, 2" is what you get. I ended up getting mine from either Jegs or Summitt. It is 2.5" as original.
