Hey guys, I've never posted here (I'm a C4 owner). My Grandfather has been a Corvette enthusiast his whole life and for some reason has decided to go all out. This past August he bought a C5 Vert, and is now looking for a C3 and a C6.
Anyways, we are going to go look at a few C3's. What are some things to look for? I LOVE the C3's just never had any experience with them and don't know any common problems.
We're going to look at 3 C3's: A 1974 Vert L-48 4-speed, 1981 4-speed, and a modified 1981 5-speed. I know for the modified 1981 it all depends on how it was built.
Why not have grandpa join the form and post for himself?
Good luck.
Thanks! I might talk him into learning how to use the internet!
We'll still probably go look at that '74. My grandpa loves convertibles. And the fact that it's a 4-speed, it'll really stick out to him. I agree $18k is a really high price, but if he's serious about selling, he'll come down.
I'm really interested in that '81. I love the C3's and that isn't a bad price at all considering the low mileage and it being original.
