You are going to have to repair or replace at least one floor pan, possibly both. Rust around the body monts doesn't look too bad, but you will want to take a closer look.

Before you get too far into your project, purchase the GM chassis service manual and the assembly instruction manual (AIM). You will find both will be helpful.

If you do not have an owner's manual, order a reprint. Lots of valuable information in the owner's manual.

Congratulations on the 80.

Go here: http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/...x.php?cmd=area and see if you can obtain a copy of the original dealer invoice for your car.

Congrats on the '80. Good luck with your project. Your car's description has given me a sense of deja ja vu. My 80's floor pans were rusted through in the back corners. If you have rust this bad you need to check the windshield headers and the frame, particularly ahead of the rear wheels wells. I don't mean to scare you, but my windshield headers needed some minor welding repairs, but my frame was so badly corroded at the aft end of both rocker channels that I had to buy a replacement frame.
