Hi Tom. It might help if we knew the year car you want to rewire and what the options are in that car. Also if your used harness comes from an identically equipped, same year vehicle. If the year or options are different I suggest you scrap the used harness and buy a good repro part from a reliable vendor. With a good harness, an AIM and a Willcox or other wiring diagram you should have an easy (did I just say easy???) or at least straightforward time of stringing the thing yourself. It is a wire for wire, color for color type thing if the harness is correct for your car.

Hope you find someone close that can give you a hand . . meantime, you might want to pick up an Assembly manual - - helpful for seeing wehre things are and how stuff goes together . . .

http://www.ecklerscorvette.com/1975+...1956-1982.html

and also available at most forum sponsors- Willcox, etc.

Test everything twice before putting the dash back together.
in particular ensure all Gnd points are positively Gnded. with good connections.
you really need a "Corvette electrical Guru" for this, Not just any electrician.
or you will be learning new curse words.

I disagree. I restored the wiring in my 68. I am certanly not a Corvette electrical guru. I worked slowly, often with the AIM in my lap.

I learned absolutely no new curse words. All of them I used were very well known to me. That said, it is entirely possible the neighbors on either side of me may have leared new curse words.

Changing out the 3 harness' in my 68 L36 was just about the easiest thing I have done. It's a plug and go. Just follow and replace the old one with the new one. Oh yeah, definitely call Willcox and get a new harness. Easy money... Your car will love you for it.

Also, Doc Rebuild has some laminated color wiring diagrams that are useful as well.
