I have not had a C3 since my '71 LT-1 convertible which I sold in 2006. In 2009 my '66 coupe was also sold, and I bought my '93 Ruby Red car. The '93 is a great car, but I miss having an older one, so I have been casually looking for the right deal to come along. Well, yesterday I made the 200 mile trip and picked up a '75 convertible, which I would call a light project car. It's an L48 auto with 60,000 miles. It needs new bumpers, new wheels and tires, the seats recovered, and new carpet for starters. The underside and engine compartment will need detailing, but the frame and windshieild frame are super solid. The radiator saddle doesn't have one spec of rust on it. My son took some pictures of it at dusk when I got it unloaded:
Great looking car, George. I hope to have mine looking like a reasonable facsimile in a few months.
Thanks.
I saw your pictures and it reminded me of my car. I has a shop replace the bumpers on one of my other cars. Make sure you buy the rear bumper that has the indentations for the "CORVETTE". This style looks alot better than the bumper without the indentations. I have seen alot of 1975 cars and they have a 1976 emblem on the back bumper and it never looks right to me.

Good luck,

Thanks for the tip. I'm looking at the Tru-flex bumper through Willcox, and it does appear to have the indents.
