I'm getting ready to put my dash back together with Autometer Phantom gauges. 5 in Speedo and Tach, 2 1/6 in center console gauges.
Here were my original options.
1. Place indicator lights in the bezel I made to hold the Speedo/Tach. Problem is there isn't enought room for the lights. I only have 1/4 inch or less space compared to the original gauges. (I have 1/4 inch lights)
2. Fabricate a piece of metal and hook it up to the bottom of the dash there the old odometer trip wire was mounted at. Not sure how that would look.
Any options and pics would be appreciated. Don't want to drill into the housing as I'm not sure how it would hold up to 40 year old plastic.
