sometimes i'll just pop in to see if there is anything new,or on a friends computer without sighning in. just tried it and obama and romney popups would not let me do anything but watch their videos or take some sort of poll. it was a real turn off..........when i'm in corvette mode the last thing i want to see is political adds or any other kind of popup for that matter.
maybe we lost some good people .........if i was not already a member i would not be back. i hate popups
It happened to me too..I think if the mouse is hovering over the ad spot on the page it Pops open and then you have to close it..kinda surprised me at first then I realized the mouse was at the top of the page and it just popped open the ad. filestube is worse you get Obama on one side and Romney on the other and they both open when one gets hovered over..LOL
Just jumping onboard with the rest who have said they never had it happen. In fact the forum is the one place I can go to get some peace and quiet away from the political adds.

I use Firefox as my Internet browser and it has the ability to run add-on applications for special functions. My son showed me one of these add-ons that blocks all commercials appearing before the start of an online video, e.g., a news video on the CNN website. The app works great and I NEVER see these annoying commercials and pop-up adds. It has made browsing the Internet enjoyable again. I realize this isn't exactly the topic of discussion for this thread, but I only wanted to point you to looking for these add-on apps that might be available for the browser you're using.
