Default That B@$%&H Sandy.....

When my wife Sandy left (thank god) I bought a "73" ....Ive been working on it for the last five years...Finally I got the body back on the chassis and started working on the interior......then SANDY came back to collect.....Hurricane Sandy ....and dropped a HUGE TREE right across the T-Tops...and crushed the hell out of it....now I have to fight the insurance company because they say that it's not covered under my home owners policy......hows that for a kick in the nads....

Here's to hoping your insurance company comes through.... that said, most homeowner's policies don't cover cars.... sorry, man.

Good luck with that, I was told by my Insurance company that if anything happened to my uninsured car it wasn't covered.

hopefully you can get it covered, because if it was your neighbors uninsured/unregistered car and your tree you know they'd cover it.

Was it your tree or the neighbors?

Sorry to hear that.

Most home policies do not cover vehicles. Even ones you are working on inside your garage.

Note to all: Get a car policy even if you are doing a restore. I go with Hagerties but any of the classic car policies are fairly cheap for a year.

but i don't hold out too much hope for it. your homeowner's policy is just that coverage for your home and it's personal contents contained within the walls (unfortunately the garage walls isn't considered living space. sorry to hear the bad news.
