Sitting between drives. The first stop cleans the rotors.

Is that normal though and is there anything I can do to prevent it?

Easy Mike is dead on, These garage queens sit too much and the rotors will get a light rust cover on the rotors in between drives.

Also suggest comparing the pads on the car with a name brand pad with regards to pad size; not thickness but length & width.

I had a set of pads...squeeled alot with light braking. After doing everything but replacing the pads...I got new pads and what a difference in pad size...and guess what....no more squeeling, none, zippo.
The old pads were just smaller in width and length compared to the new pads I got.

Just a suggestion.
