Default Installing a Kenwood KDC-252U receiver

Hoping someone can help me out...
I am in the process of replacing my factory radio and with a Kenwood 252U. The question I have is on the wiring:

1. Is there an aftermarket pigtail harness I can use to connect the receiver to the connector coming from the vehicle (used to be connected to the original radio)?

2. If not, I have no idea where to attach the "dial light" line coming from the car (the power and ground lines are self explanatory, I think). Any ideas?

Thanks as always.

The later cars (77-on I think, 78-on for sure) have 3 plugs going into the stock radio and there is an adapter harness for these. For those, I believe the only thing you have to wire up is one of the 12V wires (always hot or switched, pretty sure it's the always hot (memory) wire.)

Earlier cars, no adapter.

Hello,
Can't help you with the adapter harness, I rewired my radio with a new harness fro
A seperate fuse box and used the original 12V and ground for the mandatory fog light. The grey wire however (light) I connected to the head unit so the radio dims when you turn the headlight switch.
