Found one!
I am a newbie, and have been looking for a nice orig 1979-81 Vette for a while- I was lucky enough to come across a 12,000 mile orig 1981. the car is silver with black leather and is a 4 speed.
It was built in BG, and everything is orig except the battery and one belt. The car looks and drives as new. In the process of doing full tune up, fluid changes and new tires.
It was a two owner car and has all paperwork from new-inc service receipts
Question: is it possible to order a copy of window sticker/build sheet, the orig. window sticker is complete but falling apart.

Congrats on the find. keep a real good eye on the fluid in that car. I would guess that she may leak a little when you start driving her all the time. it will be a fun car. Hope you enjoy it as much as i do mine. How about some pictures of your new Vette???

Thanks very much, I already did valve cover gaskets ,all should be ok the guy was very good as far as upkeep- he kept covered in a climate controled garage and started it all the time.
He had the A/C changed over to R-134 . I just pulled the alt out for a rebuild- its charging but the battery light is on very dim.
I am in the Charlotte area so good shops here to do it- all the NASCAR race teams are about 10 minutes from my house..

Thanks so much everyone, lots of reciepts over the years- dealer warranty work-tach not working right, paint defect-(noted on sales contract)hood was repainted. oil changes, inspections, he did a heater core in 2006, I will take a few pictures tomorrow and post them . Thanks again everyone

Congrats on the find. Even more so on the type of corvette you were looking for. Have a blast.
I know the corvette museum sells them, but only since they moved to bowling green. I don't think they have anything before 1980 if I am correct.
