Hi Gary , yes it's time for a change, make sure that you get the correct one, if you get it NAPA or Advanced , they aren't correct, get from zips,ecklers,Willcox etc they are correct, if you can, try to get NOS , they are the most correct.

'Lectric Limited has properly calibrated send units. Check the connection at the send unit first. I've had them wiggle loose and cause errant readings.

The Lectric Limited sending unit was the only way I could get a proper reading. I installed a new Delco unit after my engine rebuild and even it read too high. Its pretty bad when the General's own replacement parts aren't right.
